I have a PM Sam I got of of eBay not to long ago and she didn't have anything in her hair. No hair ribbon and no hair bow.
Did PM Samanthas come with a hair ribbon same fabric as the meet dress, or a hair bow like the ones Samantha dolls come with now?

My Sam came with a ribbon that matched her meet dress. I think you can get one in the "Ribbons for Samantha" set. [img]smile.gif[/img]
ETA: by bow, do you mean a barrette?

I was going to order the replacement hair bow, but then I thought PM Sams didn't have them. At lest not with the meet outfit.

PM Sams came with a hair ribbon that was the exact same material as her dress.
I'd be surprised if they come with a bow attatched to a clip, if that's what you mean by hair bow. It would be extra work as, like ksami said, they still have the meet ribbon in the Ribbons for Samantha set. The doll is said to come with a bow, "Brush her long, wavy hair and tie it up with a big bow," and the Hair Ribbon set says "Four wide ribbons, one each in checked taffeta, and white, black, and pink satin, can be tied into perky bows for Samantha?s hair," so I'd think it's still a ribbon.

The catalogue says she comes with a "hairbow," old PM catalogues say "bow."
I'd guess it hasn't changed at all. But then, I don't have a M doll, and I've never seen one. It just seems like a weird thing to change. If she comes with a barette now, they're wording it very poorly on the website, lol.
If she does, you could still get the riboon which would be what your PM doll should come with, by getting the Ribbons for Samantha set [img]smile.gif[/img] .
I purchased my Samantha from AGP in 2003, so she is definitely a Mattel doll. She came with her hair tied up in a ribbon bow the same fabric as her dress. I think the only hair bow for Samantha that came attached to a barrette was the one with her Winter Party dress.
